Cobot MagWing 10 Magnet for Cobot Mounting Plate
Article number: 88001778

The MagWings can be either rigidly mounted or pivoted to allow mounting on cylindrical ferromagnetic surfaces.

Customers can develop their own adapter plates or brackets for the MagWing to mount drills, COBOTs or other tools to make work processes faster, safer and more efficient.

For mounting custom structures on the MagWing, the included fasteners (M8 x 1.25 screws and two 8mm diameter dowel pins) must be used. The positions of the mounting points can be found in the dimensioned drawing below.

For COBOT applications, our Application Engineering Team will be happy to assist you with the design. We consider, among other things, payload, reach, mounting surface, and the installation position of the system.

  • Determined under laboratory conditions on 2 inch thick SAE1018 steel with a surface roughness of 63 microinches (µin) and optimized pole shoes. The actual achievable breakaway force and permissible working load depend on numerous application-specific factors. Consult a Magswitch application engineer and test the Magswitch in the respective application before use.
  • All data provided applies to devices with mounted flat pole shoes.
  • The specified values may vary by ±5%.
  • The maximum forces listed above are not safe lifting forces. Appropriate safety factors must be considered when designing tools. Magswitch recommends a permissible working load (SWL – Safe Working Load) with a safety factor of 10:1 for most applications.
