Magswitch Cobot MagBase 5 magnetic mounting plate for cobot
Article number: 81001276
The Cobot Magnet Base was designed for use with collaborative robot arms and allows collaborative robots with a payload of up to 5 kg to be stably attached to ferromagnetic surfaces with a simple rotary movement.
The swiveling Magswitch magnet arrays can be anchored on both flat and cylindrical surfaces and have a large contact area to reduce the risk of peeling – especially when the end-of-arm tool is at its maximum radius.
The pivot points of the array are equipped with electrically insulating bushings and washers to ensure that welding currents or static voltage spikes on the component or substrate are decoupled from the robot's ground circuit .
For the standard assembly pattern, see the dimensional drawing below.
Custom designs can be integrated upon request.

Footnotes
- Tested in the laboratory on 2" (5.08 cm) thick SAE1018 steel with 63 microinch surface roughness and optimized pole shoes.
- All data refers to tools with flat pole shoes .
- Values may vary by ±5% .
- The specified forces are not safe lifting forces . Designers must incorporate appropriate safety factors.
Magswitch recommends SWL = 5:1 for most applications.
