Magswitch ELAY30X5 electric magnetic gripper
Magswitch ELAY30X5 electric magnetic gripper
Article number: 81401338
The Magswitch ELAY 30x5 features the newly developed Variable Field Output (VFO) technology. This enables the tool to destack thin materials and optimally adjust the magnetic power to the specific component. Once the part is gripped and separated from its neighbor, the tool can be switched to full power to achieve maximum holding force.
Once fully activated, the tool can send back a "Proper Part Present" signal – an innovative feature that allows the tool to be taught what a correct part looks like. This leads to more compact and faster error proofing processes. Thanks to its integrated failsafe, Magswitch's electrically actuated automation line sustainably improves industrial handling processes.

SWL – Maximum Workload
SWL (Safe Working Load) = Maximum force⁵ / Safety factor (≥ 5)
(Note: SWL is significantly lower than the pull-out force. A safety factor of at least 5 is required.)
Footnotes
- Tested in the laboratory on 2" (5.08 cm) thick SAE1018 steel with 63 microinch surface roughness and optimized pole shoes.
- All data refers to tools with flat pole shoes .
- Defined with SAE1018 steel plates (200 × 200 mm).
- Values may vary by ±5%.
- Maximum forces are not safe lifting forces . Magswitch recommends a safe working load (SWL) of 5:1 .
