The Universal Saw Indicator is a 2-in-1 tool: It serves both to calibrate the parallelism between the table saw blade and the miter slot and to micro-adjust the parallel fence!

It measures the alignment of the saw blade relative to the table (and the miter slot) to allow for fine adjustments to the blade's parallelism. When adjusting the distance between the fence and the saw blade, it can also detect even the smallest changes in the fence's parallelism. The tool is attached either to steel crosscut fences that run in the miter slot or directly to the ferromagnetic table surfaces of the table saw.
The indicator is mounted via an adjustable elongated slot, allowing it to adapt to a wide range of different miter slot spacings.
